Davey moved to London in 1968 where he became a duo with Noel Murphy

Davey received his first album credit on
'ANOTHER ROUND'
Davey credits Noel Murphy with giving him the nickname 'Shaggis'
Noel called him Shaggis because he has blond shaggy hair and comes from the land of Haggis.

Noel and Davey became a trio in 1968 when they welcomed a bass player called Ron Chesterman

They were billed under the name Draught Porridge
